Adam Loo literally grew up in the local Farmer's Markets where he learned the importance of organic farming and local ingredients. As member of the Loo Family organic food dynasty, he began as an entrepreneur with different jobs at the markets.

It was here that Calvin and Christine would find the famous "Hot Dog Man". At the age of 15, he was invited to join the Shipwright's Café staff in what became his next 3 years of employment. After his third season, he made the decision to attend the Culinary Institute of Canada after completing high school.

After his first year of studies, he ventured to the Adirondack region in New York State where he worked as a banquet cook and a line cook in the signature restaurant of the 4 Diamond rated Sagamore Resort.

Returning to the Culinary Institute of Canada, Adam was invited to join the Culinary Youth Team Canada in preparation for the Culinary Olympics 08 in Erfur, Germany. With his practicing scheduled for the summer of 2008 along with the other 8 members of the team from around Canada, Adam is making his 4th appearance at Shipwright's Café under Chef Calvin Burt.
